Description

Benefits of CollDrez sterile Collagen Wet Sheet Dressing
• Widely accepted for biological wound dressing especially for burns
• Collagen sheet dressing is impermeable to bacteria and create the most physiological interface between the wound surface and the environment
• Collagen dressings also have other advantages over conventional dressings in terms of ease of application and being natural, non-immunogenic, non-pyrogenic, hypoallergenic, and pain-free
• Single application on clean wounds.
• Allows skin to breath
• Stimulates healthy granulation
When to Use CollDrez sterile collagen Wet Sheet Dressing
• Ideal for Non-infective 2nd-degree burns,
• Superficial & deep dermal burns
• For 3rd Degree burns as a temporary cover
• Traumatic loss of skin cover.
• Temporary wound cover in major open fracture wound
• Skin donor sites

How to Apply
• Thoroughly clean and denude areas to eliminate external contamination.
• Thoroughly debride the infected wound.
• Take out the collagen sheet from the preserving medium and squeeze it to remove the excess preserving medium.
• Take a trough and fill it with sterile saline water and rinse the CollDrez, a sterile collagen sheet thoroughly 4-5 times to remove the alcohol (preserving medium).
• Apply the sheet firmly on the wound and remove the air bubbles trapped if any for effective adhesion. This can be facilitated by using the back of the thumb-forceps to apply a little pressure from one end of the dressing to the other. The movement of the forceps should be just similar to the movement of a knife while applying butter on a toast.
• For best results avoid second dressing over CollDrez.
• As epithelisation occurs, the CollDrez sheet peels off.
• Repeated dressing not required unless CollDrez is rejected due to underlying pus or complication.
• For skin donor sites, CollDrez must be applied after achieving satisfactory hemostasis.
In cases where the adhered CollDrez has to be removed from the wound, the saline, moist pad can be applied over CollDrez for a few minutes to facilitate easy removal.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

CollDrez cannot be used on patients who are allergic to bovine-derived materials
