When to use SEESKIN PLUS sterile Collagen Sponge for Wound Dressing?
• Pressure ulcers
• Partial and full-thickness wounds
• Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies
• Diabetic ulcers
• Donor sites and other bleeding surface wounds
• Abrasions
• Traumatic wound healing by secondary intention
• Dehisced surgical wounds
CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Cannot be used on patients who are allergic to collagen, and on patients who have active vasculitis.
• Product should be discontinued when signs of sensitization occur.
DIRECTION FOR USE
• Wash the wound bed thoroughly with normal Saline
• The dressing should come in contact with the wound. If necessary, the dressing may be moistened with saline.
• Cover with a secondary dressing. SEESKIN PLUS, a wound dressing may be cut if necessary
• May be left in place for up to 7 days
• Dressing change frequency will depend on the amount of drainage
